Border Security

The United States is a sovereign nation. We need to maintain the integrity of our borders while finding reasonable, balanced, and sustainable immigration policies to accommodate those good people from other nations who want to join us. I support LEGAL immigration. People who would like to become citizens of the United States should apply from their home country and follow the proper procedures, which need to be streamlined and improved. The sanctuary cities/states models are not sustainable. Border security is State and National security.

ELECTION INTEGRITY

Free and fair elections are critical to a sovereign nation and are a foundational component of political freedom. We cannot continue to allow election results to be delayed. Precinct voting must be restored for easier control and counting of ballots and voter eligibility. Voter roles must be cleaned out and updated. When I am elected I will push for these measures to ensure free and fair elections.

  • Common-sense State legislation
  • Blocking all federal election takeover efforts
  • Protecting vulnerable voters
  • Encouraging citizens to become involved in the election process
  • Stopping tax-payer funding for third-party organizations seeking to influencing elections
  • Requiring proof of citizenship and identification to vote
  • Opposing Ranked Choice Voting

Immigration

I am proud that I entered this country the right way, legally, and obeyed our immigration laws.

  • I had the opportunity of doing it the “easy way” – I chose not to.
  • Every country has immigration laws.
  • I do NOT believe our immigration laws are too strict,
  • We welcome immigrants who are going to contribute to our society and who are willing to become Americans and pledge their allegiance to the USA.
  • And of course we should continue to accept refugees – and save those people who face threats to their very existence.

America is a nation of laws, and we are also a nation under siege from fanatics who want to harm civilians and do as much damage to our communities as possible. Our commitment to National security starts with control of our borders, in order to determine who we allow to enter our country, protecting our borders, ports, and airports, while having top notch intelligence and law enforcement capable of stopping those who want to do us harm BEFORE they can attack us on American soil again.

  • The federal government can no longer ignore the drug cartels and human smugglers operating along the border. We must secure our borders in order to protect this nation from these criminal organizations. I support completing the border fence and hiring more Border Patrol agents – as many as is necessary — so we can properly protect this nation.
  • I support LEGAL immigration. People who would like to emigrate to the United States should apply from their home country and follow the proper procedures and have the opportunity to become American Citizens – just as I did!
  • I do not support granting blanket amnesty and citizenship to people who have intentionally violated our laws.
  • The Constitution of the United States of America has these three mandates; ensure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare, and provide for the common defense. All three of these directives relate to the issue of illegal immigration, as illegal immigration adversely affects our economy, jobs, national security, crime levels, education, and healthcare.
  • Illegal immigration also allows human traffickers, drug runners, and terrorists to exploit our porous border.
  • Quite simply, federal laws already on the books aimed at stopping the flow of illegal immigration must be enforced. Furthermore, states must be given the resources necessary to confront the problem, which includes strengthening the border patrol. When dealing with illegal immigration, the answer is simple; enforce Constitutional mandates, and you will protect Arizonans and the American people.

Tens of Thousands of Children and young mothers with their infants and toddlers are flooding our border states.

  • Worse, they are now being dumped into Arizona from Texas by our federal government! – With no place to live, no money, no jobs, no nothing!
    • They are crammed into warehouses I have seen in Nogales
    • Many of these children are huddled together with no family, no schooling and no prospects for jobs or the future.
    • They are suffering, and WE are being overwhelmed!!!
    • All this has happened because this administration is refuses to follow our own LAWS!
    • These people are NOT refugees!
    • They need to be sent back to their families in their countries of origin
  • We MUST begin charging these countries of origin for their transportation back to their respective countries. Either DIRECTLY, or by withholdings from US Foreign Aid
    • In the meantime, lets us fly them to Washington DC, so our Federal Government can deal with this problem first hand – up close and personal – instead of hiding in their insulated offices and putting the burden on Arizonans.

Economic Impact of Illegals in Arizona

  • There were an estimated 278,460 illegal aliens working in Arizona in 2011, approximately 9.3 percent of the total workforce.
  • Unemployment in Arizona in January 2012 was 8.7 percent with 262,587 Arizonans officially unemployed.
  • Simple math – remove 9.3% of the illegal work force, and the 8.7 percent unemployment rate would nearly disappear!
  • Over 10% of children enrolled in public schools (K-12) have parents who are in the U.S. illegally.
  • Illegal aliens and their children were found to be 37 percent of the uninsured population in Arizona in 2008, and the cost of uncompensated care for illegal aliens in Arizona is $320 million annually.
  • The total education, medical, and incarceration costs in Arizona due to illegal immigration are $2.6 billion a year. This money comes directly from Arizona tax payers and citizens of Arizona – illegal aliens contribute only their labor and their sales tax to our economy, while being an overall burden to all honest U.S. citizens and Arizona tax payers.

Amnesty

  • Regarding Amnesty
    • It is not fair to put people who came to America illegally in front of those who are following our laws and applying to immigrate legally.
    • If, right off the bat, these people have disrespected our sovereign laws, how can we trust them to follow our laws if we allow them to stay here?
  • I don’t believe illegals should be rewarded by allowing them to compete with legal citizens – for available jobs.
  • We have a system – “Apply from your country of origin” – and do it the right way!
  • Enforce existing Immigration Laws
  • How can America aid other nations if she is crippled economically? Therefore, we must get our own house in order before extending the blessings of our bounty.
  • Our Federal Government must recognize, first and foremost, that it has a legal responsibility to the citizens of the United States, NOT to illegal immigrants. No illegal immigrant should receive greater benefits than our military Veterans or our poor and disabled living on Social Security. And yet many illegal immigrants enjoy far more monetary benefits and programs than our honest, tax-paying citizens and military Veterans. This is an outrage that must end!

Jobs and Economic Growth

This is one of my top priorities. We must return to the free-market principles that made our economy the envy of the world and provided prosperity for our families. I support lowering tax rates and reducing regulations so individuals and companies can once again expand and create new jobs.

Energy Security

Developing our abundant domestic oil, natural gas, and coal deposits has become an issue of economic security. We can no longer afford to ship billions of dollars overseas to purchase oil from countries that are not always friends to the U.S. Exploring and drilling for energy right here in America would immediately put Americans back to work in good paying jobs and lower our trade deficit

Gun Control and the 2nd Amendment

I am a strong advocate for the right of all law abiding Americans to fully enjoy the right to keep and bear arms. I will support legislation that protects and advances this individual right and I will oppose any attempts to restrict the firearms industry or access to ammunition.

“We who live in free market societies believe that growth, prosperity and ultimately human fulfillment, are created from the bottom up, not the government down. Only when the human spirit is allowed to invent and create, only when individuals are given a personal stake in deciding economic policies and benefiting from their success — only then can societies remain economically alive, dynamic, progressive, and free. Trust the people. This is the one irrefutable lesson of the entire postwar period contradicting the notion that rigid government controls are essential to economic development.” -Ronald Reagan

Education

Arizona leads the way in one aspect of education – ESA’s. The ESA program is wildly popular, increasing its members daily, leading the nation in school choice funding. This program needs to be protected from the Katie Hobbs agenda of regulation and elimination.

Our public schools rank near the very bottom of the nation, and yet we pour an inordinate amount of our state budget into a failing system. Until we have accountability that our schools will teach America First-history, reading, writing, and arithmetic, instead of woke indoctrination programs, we should redirect funds toward the ESA program.
